David Okafor

The performer

Authority, Then Mischief

David plays kings, inspectors and fairy royalty — and then steals the scene as the mechanical with two left feet. His Javert is all coiled certainty; his Oberon, all glint. Between roles he writes: his short play headlined last year's new-writing festival.

He mentors the youth theatre's writers' group and leads the company's relaxed-performance training, shaping how Lumen welcomes every audience.
