Into the Woods
Sondheim's interwoven fairytales, staged inches from the audience in our 80-seat studio. Be careful what you wish for.
The production
Wish, Wander, Reckon
A childless Baker and his Wife, a Cinderella who actually goes to the festival, a Jack with a temperamental cow and a Red Riding Hood with more wit than fear — their wishes tangle in the woods, and happily-ever-after turns out to be only the interval.
In the studio, the woods grow out of the audience: branches overhead, the Witch's garden in the front row, and a Giant whose footsteps shake all eighty seats. Marcus Bell leads as the Baker alongside Elena Marsh as the Witch.
What the evening includes
- Sondheim's complete score with a five-piece chamber band
- Studio staging — no seat more than six rows from the action
- Family workshop: build a giant's footprint before Sunday shows
- Pay-what-you-can preview on the opening Tuesday

“Eighty seats, one giant, and a second act that lands like a confession. The studio has never felt this big.”
